Crisis of the Republic
It is stupid to call unexpected and unpredictable happenings
as random events. They help to clear theory but remove it further from reality.
They have appearance of truth because they take evidence from recognizable
trends but they neglect our common sense.
Violence has always played enormous role in the human
affairs. Violence and its arbitrariness
has been taken for granted and neglected. Violence has been a marginal
phenomenon in the past records. It is haphazard and not serious and precise. Political
or economic continuity preceded the violent action. Military resolution in
discord with deeper cultural sources of national power could not be stable.
Wherever the power structure of country contradicts its economic development
the political power with means of violence will suffer defeat.
Today all the old truths about the relation between war and
politics or about violence and power are not applicable. War itself is the
basic social system within which other secondary modes of social organization
conflict or conspire.Peace is the continuation of war.
