Narendra Modi - Swami Vivekananda




Not only does Narendra Modi share his name with Swami Vivekananda, he claims to share his dreams and aims to fulfill the dreams of Swami Vivekananda. Narendra Modi has always tried to imitate Swami Vivekananda being his devotee. He has posed for photographs the way Vivekananda did, he always quotes him and tells that he is trying to fulfil swami Vivekananda’s dreams. Narendra Modi posted Swami Vivekananda quotes on social media to pay tribute on the 150th anniversary of swami Vivekananda. He shared on his blog that he is determined to work towards realizing swami Vivekananda’s dreams and integrate as many youngsters as possible.

Swami Vivekananda:
“Let us all work hard, my brethren; this is no time for sleep. On our work depends the coming of the India of the future.”

Narendra Modi:
Narendra modi started the Vivekananda Yuva Vikas Yatra in September 2012. Swami Vivekananda envisioned that India, world’s most youthful nation cannot dream small. Narendra modi wants that there is youth development and youth led development in Gujarat.

Swami Vivekananda:
“Education is the manifestation of the perfection already in man.”

Narendra Modi: 
Narendra Modi dedicated 20 Swami Vivekananda Superior Technology Industrial Training Institutes (ITI) through videoconferencing, to encourage skill, research and development with latest technology. Narendra modi attached special importance to youth power and skill development among youth. He said we can realize maximum potential of youth power if we pay attention to skill development. 

Swami Vivekananda:
“My Faith is in the Younger Generation, the Modern Generation, out of them will come my workers. They will work out the whole problem, like Lions.”

Narendra Modi:
Narendra Modi attended a special screening of the film Light Swami Vivekananda and urged the youngsters to go and see the film. He says: "Yes we can, yes we will do. We have everything that the world has, 125 years ago swami Vivekananda saw a dream to see India at the pinnacle of world leadership. Let us pledge to fulfil his dream. Youth should become partners in development. We should rise and work hard towards realizing swami Vivekananda's dream. We didn’t get opportunity to die for the nation but we have got the opportunity to live for it. It is amazing that swami Vivekananda’s teachings are still relevant after 150 years."

Swami Vivekananda:
“The whole secret lies in organization, accumulation of power, and coordination of will.”

University College in oxford is an old college established for studying theology two centuries before Trinidad was named. It has famous alumni such as, P.B.Shelley, Clement Attlee, Harold Wilson and C.S.Lewis.
