These are the kinds of assignments which sir randomly picks up and assigns us ...

He just saw the word "MAGIC" scribbled on the white board and he conjured up three assignments for it out of thin air ! 

Assignment :
 design an icon for magic
(graphically represent magic)
concentrate on aspects of visual comfort
pixel sizes
64
128
256
(corresponding sizes for mackintosh)
edges with shadows to show click events

I have deduced one thing that he may assign lot of work but its worth it, he makes us self study and its now upon us how much we gather and how much we explore . He shows us the path, we have to guide ourselves and move ahead...

He often shares random knowledge like ... 
the normal vision of eye is 380 to 700 nm.
the rays <300 nm are uv rays 
the rays >700nm are infrared

Sir made us study affordance, ergonomics and now to apply the concepts he has asked us to explore :
how is the weight distributed ! sketches with human figures.

A sudden question emerged how the scaling an image function work...??
 which pixels to add and remove ?
we cannot just abruptly remove any pixel because then it will disrupt the image entirely. We have to do several things like interpolations and finding the exact pixel or proportion of pixel which can be removed.

We explored the things we can do with a mouse. Mouse is magic in its self. Its not just about a click. We rule the screen with the click .....

Sir wants us to study various microsoft user guidelines
colour themes of windows
study of themes.
(preferences)
rating on each theme.
Each user has different preferences so one would like a theme while another person would hate the same theme.
