Shamiana Fan Club Keeps Growing!


There are many viewers who are not familiar with short films, shamiana attracts all sorts of people and they bound to get addicted to Shamiana. One such group of friends went down to see shamiana for the first time, and the natrani staff had to tell them to vacant the place because they lingered around till midnight :)

The Brilliant stories make us laugh, cry, inspire and think ... All the films leave a message that is bound to stay with us for a long long time. It often changes our views about things. We have decided not to miss a single screening of Shamiana after our first visit, says the students of M.Des 2013, Dhirubhai Ambani Institute.
The local talent bring new stories trying to serve fresh ideas and with every different cook, the recipe changes. Everybody brings out something different and tasty in the world of Short films... One such first time movie maker Harshil Bhatt was overjoyed when his films were screened. It was the best day of his life. He says: All I needed was a platform and I am really very happy that shamiana encourages the local talent and it has helped me progress and improve myself. I had never imagined that I would get such a loving audience for my films. I cannot thank Cyrus Dastur enough. 


Harshil Bhatt first heard about shamiana nearly a year ago through social networking sites and attended with his brothers: Yash Soni and Malhar Jani. Harshil says he has never met anyone like Cyrus sir before! He is impressed by his modestly and friendly behaviour. Shamiana should continue its great activity of encouraging young and audacious filmmakers to showcase their ability and talent! Harshil wants shamiana gets bigger & better and reaches out all through the world!

Time runs when we want it to stop ... and I somehow feel during the lecture hours time runs backwards ! The clock hands run anticlockwise ! The world is what it is

University College in oxford is an old college established for studying theology two centuries before Trinidad was named. It has famous alumni such as, P.B.Shelley, Clement Attlee, Harold Wilson and C.S.Lewis.
